Michael Tahan Kicks Off Campaign With Over 100 Hundred Volunteers For His Re-Election To The Fontana City Council

This past weekend Fontana City Councilmember Michael Tahan kicked off his campaign with over 100 volunteers and campaign workers.

“We are going to knock on every Fontana home and speak to every voter in this election.  My campaign is about keeping Fontana moving forward by listening to our residents concerns and fresh new ideas.  There was a point not too long ago when Fontana was not safe but now we are one of the safest cities in the state,” said Councilmember Michael Tahan.

Prior to his election to the City Council, Michael represented Fontana as a member of the San Bernardino County Board of Education.  As our School Board Member, he worked to maintain a balanced budget, keep our kids safe on campus and in the hours after school, and improve academic outcomes for students of all ages.

Michael’s long record of community involvement includes having served as President of the Fontana Chamber of Commerce, and on the boards of the Fontana Boys and Girls Club, the Fontana Library Foundation, the Oldtimers Foundation, and the Inland Empire Development Corporation.  He is also a former member of the Fontana Parks and Recreation Commission.  Michael volunteers his time as a local youth sports couch and is an active member of the Fontana Rotary Club and the Fontana Kiwanis Club.

Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management from Cal State Fullerton, and has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  He and his wife, Rima Tahan, live in the Sierra Lakes neighborhood of Fontana with their three sons.
